Navy vs Virginia Men's D1 Game

The Tidewater Chapter wishes to honor the service members lost on August 6, 2011 when Extortion 17 was downed in Afghanistan. The CH-47 Chinook helicopter, call sign Extortion 17, was tragically shot down by enemy fire in Afghanistan resulting in the worst loss of life in a single incident during the Afghanistan campaign; 30 active duty military and one military working dog were killed in action on this day.

This event will showcase the lacrosse community’s spirit and willingness to give back to the community, and all memorial donations and ticket sale proceeds from the game will be presented to the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project in the memory of these warriors.

Thompson Brothers Lacrosse Camp

The Thompson Brothers will conduct a lacrosse camp at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex (field hockey fields) as a lead-in event to the Navy-UVA benefit game hosted by the Tidewater Chapter of US Lacrosse. Camp is for boys in grades 3-12, $125, and each camper will receive a ticket to the benefit game as a donation to the charities (Navy SEAL Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project) by the Thompsons.  Visit www.TBLCAMPS.com to register.
