Program Development Grant Application
The San Diego Chapter of US Lacrosse has a grant available to qualified programs operating in the San Diego County Area and in good membership standing with US Lacrosse. The application is due by Nov. 30, 2013.
Ø 6 dozen level specific playing balls
Ø 7 or more gender specific lacrosse sticks
Ø 1 set of white 4mm goal nets
Ø 1 admittance to the next SD Chapter Level 1 Coaches Training
Ø $1,000 to be used as coaching stipend (half awarded at start of season, half at end)
Ø Program and photo listed on San Diego Chapter web site (www.uslacrosse.org/chaptersandiego)
Ø Applicant Group must be in its 1st or 2nd year of operation at time of application.
Ø Applicant Group must fall under one of the following categories.
1. Girls or Boys Youth Team (grades 3-5)
2. Girls or Boys Middle School Youth Team (grades 6-8)
3. Girls or Boys High School Team (grade 9-12)
Ø Applicant group must have demonstrated financial need (a program for which current participant and outside financial contributions cannot fully cover associated operating costs) and an established plan for providing other needed items for the program (beyond Grant items).
Ø Applicant group must not have received a USL Equipment Grant (or similar) in the same year that it submits this application.
Ø Applicant group must have a “home playing field” and insurance secured before grant is awarded (certificate of insurance and a copy of an approved field use permit will suffice).
Applicant Group Responsibilities
Ø Applicant Group must provide a viable candidate to be trained (by appropriate local entity) as a game official of applicant category.
Ø Applicant Group’s Coach must attend a regional Level 1 Coaches Training or the National US Lacrosse Convention within a year of receiving grant.
Ø Applicant group will be asked to display a banner at all home contest for the season immediately following the award of this grant. The banner, supplied by the SD Chapter, must be returned at the conclusion of the season.
Ø Applicant Group must submit this application typed! NO HAND WRITTEN APPLICATIONS! Include any necessary supporting documentation (will not be returned). The SD Chapter Board will return its decision in a timely manner.
