2014 Coaching Positions
Cleveland High School Lacrosse is looking for an experienced lacrosse player and coach to lead our boys varsity team. The program has a boys varsity and a boys junior varsity squad and, after ten years, we are on the rise as a competitive program en route for the state playoffs. The community has developed a strong Eastside Youth Lacrosse program so the future is very bright as experienced younger players continue to enter Cleveland High School. Our desire is to play with dedication, grit, sportsmanship and respect for the game.
As head coach you would be responsible for not only directing the boys varsity coaching staff, but aligning the JV staff so there would be a seamless transition for players moving from JV up to the varsity squad. The responsibilities of course also include the development of each varsity player in aspects of team and individual lacrosse skills; not only in the aspects of the sport but also in aspects of young men maturing into our community. All other managerial duties (ex. game scheduling, field scheduling, equipment management, volunteer management, etc.) will be handled by the Cleveland Boys Lacrosse Club. Practices are daily evenings and home games are held in the evenings at Cleveland Stadium at SE 35th and SE Powell Blvd. Season length is Feb. 24 to mid-May. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
The past two years have seen a tremendous rise in success and lacrosse culture at Cleveland we wish to continue. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing reputable and competitive eastside Portland lacrosse community. For more information please contact Board President Scott Burns (email@example.com).
Lake Oswego High School has an opening for a Junior Varsity (Boys) head coach, Junior Varsity 2 (Boys) head coach and an assistant Junior Varsity 2 (Boys) coach starting Spring 2014. These are coaching only positions. The regular season runs February through May with practices in the evening Monday through Friday. Occassional weekend commitments are required. Appointment: Part-time, 5-months. Salary: Very competitive.
