2013 Hall of Fame Inductees

On behalf of both the NJ South and NJ North Chapters of US Lacrosse and Peter Stanton, chair of the Hall of Fame committee, we are excited to announce the new inductees for the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame, class of 2013. I am sure I speak for everyone on the HoF committee when I emphasize how impressive this year's nominees were. It made it very difficult to select these inductees from the list and it underscores just how impressive this year's class is.

Craig Buckley, Truly Outstanding Player
Fair Lawn 1993
Rutgers 1999
Named first team all state as a Senior at Fair Lawn, as well as All-American in 1993. Went on to be a scoring leader at Rutgers for 3 of 4 years. Also coached West Orange HS from 2002-2005.
 
Lucy S. DeStefano, Truly Outstanding Player
Hotchkiss School (CT) 1995
Princeton 1999
Summit, NJ native named HS All American for Hotchkiss in 1995. At Princeton earned All Ivy Honorable Mention for 3 of 4 years, and was named All-American twice, including 1st team in 1999. Also competed in the final four in 1996. among many other honors.

Named to 1982 State Champion team. All Conference Defensemen, Honorable Mention. President of NJ Junior Lacrosse League, 2009 US Lacrosse Program Director of the Year.

Denison 1995
All state goalie and state championships in 1990 and 1991. Named All American 1991. North Coast Conference Goalie of the Decade 1990s. Professional player for New Jersey Pride and Latvia. 
 
Peter O'Donnell, Truly Outstanding Contributor
Fair Lawn HS 1965 
Bowling Green State University 1969
Varsity player for Fair Lawn as well as Bowling Green State. Served as coach for Mountain Lakes youth team, and is former president of the NJ Chapter of US Lacrosse. Richard Rizk Unsung Hero Award, 2009.
 
Michael P. Springer, Truly Outstanding Player
Ridgewood HS 1998 
Syracuse University 2003
Named 1st Team All State Attackmen 3 times for Ridgewood. HS All American, 1997 and 1998. 4 time All American at Syracuse, National Champions '00 and '02. Philadelphia Barrage '03-'08. Head Coach of Don Bosco '04-present.

Served as a high school and college official since 1976. Founding member of the NJILOA, and former President. Director of Recruitment for new officials.
