RE: Women’s National Tournament (WNT); Schoolgirls Division

Attn: Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coaches in the Adirondack Chapter - U.S. Lacrosse

We realize it is early but once again this year, the Adirondack Chapter is pleased to announce the formation of a regional team to compete in the Schoolgirls Division of the National Tournament held over Memorial Day Weekend in Lehigh, Pennsylvania. The location is in close proximity to the site of the NCAA Division 1 Final Four championships in Philadelphia. The Adirondack Chapter created its own regional team two years ago and we are again excited to be able to provide an opportunity for varsity players in the Capital Region and Adirondack Area through the Adirondack Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse. Our Chapter team was very successful last year while playing in a very competitive, national level recruiting division.

In order to tryout, both players and their school coaches must be members of U.S. Lacrosse and the players must be varsity players, grades 9-11. In order to provide players with this exciting opportunity, we encourage the varsity coaches to become members of U.S. Lacrosse. The tryout date and location are Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Queensbury High School girl’s lacrosse fields and the registration link is: http://www.youthleaguesusa.com/uslacrosse/2013/Tryout.html. Further information will be forwarded through the Adirondack Chapter and is also available through the U.S. Lacrosse website. Varsity coaches wishing to be considered as selectors for the team are needed and must complete an online application through the U.S. Lacrosse website. Last year’s team was comprised of players from at least seven different schools and we once again look forward to selecting a broad based team.

We are again excited about the opportunity to send a team of talented lacrosse players from this region to
participate in this longstanding and competitive event. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the email address below.

Sincerely,
